Why I Made Floatie Suit

Watching my baby discover the water was one of the sweetest moments.

But it was stressful too.

I wanted my little one to have fun, learn to swim, and feel confident — without me worrying every second.

I tried different floaties, but they felt bulky and made it harder for my baby to move.

So I wanted something different.

Extra support, natural movement, and more confidence in the water.

That's why I made FloatieSuit. ❤️

How It Works

Simply slip FloatieSuit on and zip it up for a secure fit.

Built-in buoyancy gives your little one extra support while they learn.

Their arms and legs stay free to kick, paddle, and practice.

As they improve, they can build confidence and become more comfortable in the water.

Swim. Learn. Play. 👶

Water should be fun, not frightening.

Drowning is the #1 cause of death for children ages 1–4 in the U.S.

Little ones are still learning to float, kick, and paddle. One unexpected moment can turn fun into fear.

You can’t prevent every moment. But you can give them extra support while they learn.

Soft. Supportive. Made for Little Swimmers.

FloatieSuit gives them extra buoyancy while keeping their arms and legs free to move.

Kick. Paddle. Practice. Build confidence.

Let them explore. Keep your peace of mind.

Help your little one learn, play, and grow confident in the water.

Because every parent wants their child to love the water and feel supported.

FAQs

What size should I order?

Sizes run 1 to 8 years, based on height and weight rather than age alone — check the chart on the product page before ordering.

If your child falls between two sizes, go up. The foam panels work the same either way, and the suit will fit through another season instead of getting tight by August.

Still unsure? Email us their height and weight and we'll tell you which size to pick.

How do the foam panels work?

The panels are sewn into the chest and torso of the suit, spreading buoyancy evenly across the body instead of concentrating it on the arms like armbands do.

Because the support is in the suit itself, both arms stay completely free — so your child paddles the way they actually will when they swim, rather than learning a posture they'll have to unlearn later.

How do I wash it?

Rinse in cold water after every swim, especially after chlorine or salt water, and hang it to dry out of direct sunlight.

No washing machine, no dryer, no fabric softener. Heat breaks down the foam and shortens the life of the suit.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days and arrive in 7–14 business days from purchase.

You'll get a tracking number once it ships — it can take 24–72 hours to activate, so an empty tracking page at first is normal.

Planning around a trip or the start of swim lessons? Order at least three weeks ahead.

At what age can we start using it?

Sizes begin at 1 year, but the honest answer is that it depends more on your child than on the calendar.

The suit works best once they're steady on their feet and comfortable being in the water with you — usually somewhere between 1 and 2. Younger than that, they're mostly being held anyway, and the suit isn't doing much.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends formal swim lessons can begin as early as age 1. A float suit works alongside lessons, not instead of them.

Is this safe for my child to use in the pool?

Yes! The built-in foam panels provide extra buoyancy and help your little one feel more confident in the water while still allowing natural movement. It is not a life-saving device, so always keep your child within arm’s reach and under constant adult supervision.
